What a fabulous way to spend a day in Todos Santos by taking part in the Historic Home Tour during the best season of the year! While you’ll see some interesting houses, in various stages of renovation, what’s captivating is the actual “history” behind some of these homes. From Chinese migrant workers that had a profound influence on the development of the town to revolutionaries that impacted all of Baja. This history comes to life with the right guide.
There are 14 interesting historic homes/buildings on this year’s tour (2010). The tour starts at the Cultural Center and takes a few hours to complete, depending on your pace. It’s a great way to get to know the community and see the talent resident in this wonderful pueblo. There’s a small fee (last year it was $10). Proceeds endow various programs and The Palapa Center. Please contact Linda Stobbe for more information or to volunteer at 521-612-145-0377.
