The Todos Santos Film Festival has become a magnet for cinephiles from Baja and beyond, and this year’s 10th anniversary edition was the biggest and best yet, drawing an impressive collection of national and international actors, writers, and filmmakers to the Pacific Coast Pueblo Magico. Local residents and and international visitors alike turned out to welcome special guests Ana Serradilla and Kuno Becker, and to watch 25 movies from Mexico, Spain, Chile, Cuba, and Argentina, as well as locally produced films from the “Youth in Video” series. To cap the auspicious decade-in-the-making celebration, all cinematic offerings were screened in the magnificently restored turn-of-the-century (think 20th, not 21st) Marquez de Leon Theater.
If you didn’t make the 10th anniversary of the Todos Santos Film Festival, you’ll definitely want to attend in 2014, with a whole new slate of movies from top cinematic talent across Mexico and Latin America. For information about the best local accommodations, visit www.CalyCanto.com.
We look forward to sharing a bowl of popcorn with you in Todos Santos!
